Selina has not posted in her LJ since foourrrreeeevaaaaaaaaah. She can't even say real life has kept her away, nope. Sadly boys and girls another country has hooked and sinked Selina. Yes Korea and all it's drama (always keepin the faith that 2PM leadja Jay will be back) has kept her away. But she has been let go for a brief visit and there are a few things she would like to say.

1. Kelly thank you so very berry much for the Christmas card. You don't know how much it warmed my heart and put a huge ass smile on my face when it arrived at my home weeks after Christmas :p You are such a great friend (sorry I am such a sucky one) and I am so jealous of your pretty ass hand writing. 

2.New Years was sooo much fun. Way too much alcohol was drunk and the dancing and partying till 6am pure win. I've already said fuck it to the resolution of losing weight (5'5 and 133 is just fine...right?) but will try and keep the read 50 books by the end of the year one and I am so so on the less Kdrama and Kpop. 

3. 22 years of age feels no different from 21 but yay for being a year older. 

4. Went to the club Saturday with my guys and dolls for  Derrick's birthday. Dancing. Alcohol. More Dancing. Teasing boys. Getting Lost. Swollen face. Lots of yucky vomiting. Only the first four happened to me ;D

5. I hope every single one of you are doing well and that your new year thus far has been brighter and better than the last. Although I may not always comment. I still read every single word.

Had to go to bible studies tonight and I'm trying to pay attention to the woman and ya know get down with the G-O-D and I could not focus or take a word of what was being discussed to heart. I saw a macro on omona of Jesus speaking to his disciples with a cartoon bubble that said "cool story dude" and good lawdy if that wasn't only thing going through my head. You have no idea how hard it was to not LOL the whole entire time. 

Note to self: No omona or ONTD before serious biz. I want Cat Deeley from So You Think You Can Dance also Sue Sylvester and Puck are my reasons to Glee. 

1. Korea pop culture has taken over my life. Must save enough money to visit someday.

2. I made a new friend today. Yay me!

3. I do need new clothes. I do not want to spend the amount needed to buy them.

4. I was recovering from brain surgery during Halloween so it sucked that I couldn't go trick or treating (yes I am 21 and still proudly go using my nephew who accompanies as an excuse :)- or hit the clubs.

5. I got a crush and I am semi, kinda, but not really stalking him, because a.) only seen him for the back and from my detective work it could be one of two guys and b.) I is way too shy at the moment to do much about said crush.

6. I am going to get over my fears and watch Supernatural. Don't laugh and say that show is not scary. I am the girl who has an honest to gwad biggest fear of blinking dolls. I blame the frakkin red head killing doll Chuckie and my 4 year old self for that.

7. I have become addicted to Fanta Orange Soda and So Ji Sub (look him up and you shall understand why)

8. For some reason I really miss the Dell guy. Why did they ever stop with the "Dude your getting a Dell" ads? 

9. I want a new user name so bad. I do not want to spend 15 dollars to get it. 

10. F-list I may not always post and comment but I always read and enjoy knowing 'sup in everyone's lives. 

California here I cooome!!

I am going to California for work!! For the APS conference (which will be really boring just presenting research) but it's sunny, beautiful, economically expensive California. I hope I meet someone there named Seth or Summer just so I can pretend they are from the O.C. I leave on Thursday (why the frak did we book a 7 am flight *cries a little*) and won't be back until Monday.

1. Merry Belated Christmas to all. It's kind funny how I'm always late in giving out warm wishes.

2. I have been geeking out on all things X-Men lately (specifically that of Remy LeBeau and Remy/Rogue). It all started with this amazing fanfic Green Eyed Monster by IvyZoe, and then exculated with the X-Men Orgins trailer. Remy finally coming on to the big screen, and in a fedora none the less....*dies a happy fangirl death*. I have watched the trailer a billion plus one times, and my brain turns to mush full of dirty , giggly, happy whenever Remy and the fedora appears. The only thing that bothers me about the trailer is no red on black eyes. I swear in the final cut the man better have his red on black eyes or I will be pissed. 

3. I am counting down the days till X-Men Legacy issue  #220 comes out (Jan 29th). My Rogue and Gambit will finally come back to front and burining center. As much as I'm enjoying the focus on professor X, and how bad ass and dark he is becoming; I hope at the end of the run the three of the them join up with the X crew in San Fran. 

4. Wolverine and the X-Men premieres Jan 23 on Nicktoons. Yay!!

5. Lost! bitches!!

6. What will it take to get Marvel to bring X-Men: The Animated Series out on DVD? 

 The movie Mulan is the shit. 

The story.

The culture it represents and displays. 

The artwork.

The music.

The love.

One of the best Disney animated movies ever. It ranks right up there with The Lion King, Peter Pan, and The Little Mermaid for me. 

How much do I love Disney right now for showing it....A LOT!!!!

The shit I say, the shit. 

 I have been gone waaaaaay too long. My only excuse is that life has been blissfully hectic. 

I job. I got a man (will be a year in Feb), developed a new obsession (Mad Men)  and.....

I turned 21 

My birthday was so much fun. I didn't go out and party like a normally do. I hung out with my family and boyfriend (separately, no way am I throwing him to the wolves yet), but it was nice since I hadn't done that in  while (school and work keeps me very busy). I had a tiara and a sparkly dress, that I hated to take off come Thursday. It was so pretty and sparkly. Like the princess in the Mario Brothers games. 

We had chocolate cupcakes that put together made a Barbie cake (yes I refuse to grow up) and wore party hats and everything. I got so really kick ass gifts. My boyfriend got me a silver charm bracelet that has a disco ball (we met at my sorority mixer) a heart (it was near Valentines Day) and lettered charms that spells out I love you. On the back of the heart is says '100 minus 1 day'  *elated grin*

My sister got me this big, pretty, yellow Nine West Purse, my other sister got me the beautiful leather gloves that I had been drooling over since forever. My mother got me this really pretty purple coat that  looks like this expect my buttons are square. My other sister is going to bring me my gifts this weekend. I feel so spoiled, plus Christmas is just 6 days away *dances in a happy circles* December is the bestest month ever :D

Happy (belated or early) Birthday to all those that I missed (Sandi, Mikey,..) and those that are here/soon to come (Elise, Fizzy). I hope you all have had or do have fantabulous days. 



 

Yes We Can and We Did

Barack Obama  is the president!!

I am in tears people. I never thought in my whole life I would see a black president. Someone who looks like me, and has the same type of values and beliefs is president. 

This is like to the level of Martin Luther King Jr. 

No longer does my little brother have to think that he has to be a rapper, a basketball player, footballer, or some type of thug. He can finally believe that if he works hard...if we work hard, if we get an education, we keep pushing and going. We can do it. We can bring about changes. t\The world cannot keep us down because there is someone like us, who has achieved something that has never happened before. He is the first black president, and inspiration not only to black people like me, but to any and everyone. 

I am so happy, and awed and in tears. I never thought I would see this day. 

Change really does feel good.
